Fixing Galeon Annoyances

CTRL-U doesn't clear the Location-Bar

The Gnome default keybinding for CTRL-U is "View Source". This is a real pain for those of us who expect CTRL-U to clear lines and fields. To fix this, use: gconftool-2 -s -t string /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_key_theme Emacs

In Galeon 1.3.13, tabs move to the left hand side

For some reason, a gconf key disappeared after the installation of Galeon 1.3.13. It can be put back as follows:

• Start gconf-editor
• Go to apps -> galeon -> UI -> Tabs
• Right-click on the white workspace and select "New key..."
• In the box that pops up, enter:

Key Name:	tabbed_position
Type:		Integer
Key value:	2

• Click Ok and quit gconf editor. After this, your galeon tabs will all appear along the top again.
